July 2006 and no internet

For some reason (probably money) we did not have the internet in our home. I imagine that was really difficult. I use it daily and it is well worth it.

July 4, 2006

Lucas and I spent Fourth of July with my family (The Kights). I believe we went to the Independence Fair in Tacoma. It was on the waterfront and we had a lot of fun. Lucas was still young, so he went willingly.

Cell Phones

We got our cell phone numbers on in June of 2006. I cannot believe we have had the same numbers for three years.

June 14, 2006

I was browsing through my two family websites and I came across the information regarding Lucas and the spots on his face. He originally saw the dermatologist on June 14, 2006. He was two years old and the spots were prominent on his face. He had to get a biopsy of the spots and it turned out to Benign Cephalic Histiocytosis. It turned out to be non-cancerous and only annoying because it changed his beautiful face. He still has the spots, but they are very light. I don't notice them anymore. Occasionally they flare up from heat or agitation.

I remember being so worried about how it would affect him Kindergarten. It is hard to believe that he will be entering it in the fall. I remember thinking it was so far off. It shouldn't affect him with the school kids. His pre-school friends didn't even hesitate to welcome him.

Isaac and his fits

Isaac has started to throw fits. He puts his face on the ground and cries while occasionally looking to see my reaction. He will still be standing on his two feet and nothing else will touch the floor except for his face...so his little bum sticks up in the air.

I just have to laugh at this.

Lucas knows how to spell Mom.

Chris taught Lucas how to spell it and he is really good at it. In fact, he is so good at it that he can spell it with his breath. Today, he got my attention and told me he was going to spell my name with his breath and proceeded to do just that. It was so funny. Chris and I both laughed at him. Then Isaac joined in with his fake laugh.

Happy Birthday Isaac

This is the family on Isaac's first birthday. We went to Millersylvania with the Hiatt's. It was a lot of fun. Lucas tries so hard to take a good picture, but he usually has a weird expression on his face. All well, those are the best pictures...in my opinion. It is hard to believe that my babies are soooooooooo big.

This was taken on Isaac's birthday, even if I am a month behind in posting it.

Isaac and Lucas and laughter

Anything new that Isaac does, Lucas has to be involved in it. Tonight we were eating dinner and Isaac was cracking up while he was giving me high-fives. He was literally hunched over giggling and he couldn't stop. Lucas did not like that Isaac was laughing so much with me, so he came over to get in on the fun.

I love listening to babies laugh. It is probably the purest sound in the world.

Walk, Walk, Walk

So, Lucas and I went on a hour long walk today. Isaac rode along in the stroller. I learned that there is a softball park in Oakville. Who would have thought. Oakville is bigger then I thought. Jessica Huff joined us with her three dalmatians. They are so cute.

Lucas

Lucas told me that he loved me. I asked him since when. he responded "since Thursday." Then he added, but I have always loved you. He is getting so big and adult sounding. I am so proud of him.

I always tell him that he is my big bestest and Isaac is my baby bestest. The other night, I was tucking him in and he told me that I was his bestest. (And then he added his dad and Isaac into the bestest category, but I had my moment).

Today

Today I got to go to dinner with Emily. Isaac was as cranky as ever. If I even looked like I was walking away, he would freak out. I had such an easy time with Lucas. I think Isaac was waiting to come down and show me whats up.

On the plus side, he is so darn cute. I can't stand it.

Giving up on anything else

So, I have been overwhelmed by all these social networking sites. I like to share information about my family, but don't want to push it on people. So, I am going to start posting on my blog and you can choose to look at it. That way it is all voluntary.
